CHILDREN GREEN TEAM
I am Deviramma, studying in 5 th standard at Govt. School in Puttegowdanahundi village. With the support of RLHP and the staffs, our school developed a team of 20 members with an intention to protect the environment and to propagate the importance of organic farming. The green team has created a small garden in the school premises which contains natural herbal medicines and vegetables such as Alo vera , Mint, Papaya ,Thulasi, Brami leaves, Lemon plant, tomato, pumpkin, radish etc. and all these vegetables are utilizing for the mid day meal in schools. All the team members are so happy with the initiative because most of us could not possible to make a kitchen garden in our home due to the lack of space. The nutritious food and organic vegetables made our students strong and active in all the school activities. Thanks to RLHP and HM for supporting us to create an Eco friendly school.
