WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

The need of women empowerment persists across the world even in the twenty first century. The continuing male domination and gender discrimination upholds the woeful situation of women. The extent of empowerment of women in the national hierarchy is determined largely by the three factors – women’s economic, social and political identity and their weight age. These factors are deeply interlinked with many cross cutting linkages which imply that if efforts in even one dimension remain absent or weak, outcomes and momentum generated by the other components cannot be sustained as they will not be able to weather any changes or upheavals.  Women will be empowered when they are able to access the opportunities available to them without any constraints such as in education, career and lifestyle. On these aspect, RLHP conducting different programmes in community level such as, trainings, workshops, regular meetings, organising women groups, Women sangha and DHAWANI & BELAKU women federations etc. These initiatives made the women to participate in all the public platforms and are capable enough to addressing the issues and taking initiatives to resolve the issues in communities.
